In that time they have planned and run over 500 weddings. They’ll make sure your special day will exceed your expectations.
Further to this, you’re guaranteed to be personally looked after by one of the owners as you travel the exciting road of planning your wedding at Sault. Unlike other venues where you are left in the hands of a ‘function coordinator’, owner/operator Jodi Flockhart assists you from your first enquiry through to, and including, the big day.
Add to this personalised service, the stunning setting, and superb food and wine, rest assured your wedding day will be one you and your guests will remember.

Wedding Barn/Chapel
At Sault, our couples are happily enjoying the use of the Wedding Barn and Chapel among the lavender and overlooking the lake. Guests can enjoy the views in air conditioned comfort, and our brides have been extending their walk down the aisle, parking the wedding car at the top of the lavender field and walking down the path to the chapel, sure adds to the wow factor. Our Lavender fields are in-bloom from November through March and add a special element to your wedding day at Sault.

Wedding Pre-Shoots
Sault offers couples the ability to have a full wedding pre-shoot so your guests can enjoy the beautiful imagery on the big day (Photographer fees not included). The Sault Estate has beautiful manicured gardens and fields of lavender that bloom between November and March. The Wedding Barn/Chapel makes the perfect backdrop for your pre-shoot and the stunning Sault Homestead building built using Castlemaine stone with a gorgeous fountain.

We held our wedding and my husband’s sixtieth birthday party celebrations at Sault on the 22nd of October. All the guests came dressed to our 60’s theme, firstly to the wedding barn for the ceremony, and then afterwards in the restaurant for drinks and canapes, followed by 3 course dinner, and then dancing to the band.
Jodi is an absolute expert in running weddings. She had all the eventualities covered, and if there’s one piece of advice I would give other brides marrying at Sault, it would be to listen to Jodi: she knows what works and what doesn’t and will guide you honestly and assertively through the planning process. On the day, it was Jodi who greeted me at the door of the wedding barn, had co-ordinated all the planning for our entrance with our wedding celebrant and my stepson who was operating the music system, and gave me a quick glass of water to steady my nerves.
Once the ceremony was over and we headed up to the deck for drinks and canapes, the team of staff at Sault sprung into action. Just by watching them circulate for service you could see that they had all worked together regularly on weddings, knew exactly what to do, could answer all the guests’ questions, and were unfailingly polite and smiley. Nothing was too much trouble, and all the staff were so attentive throughout the five hour service period, that I couldn’t fault a thing.
We had the most amazing night, and such a beautiful experience speaking our vows against the lake view – we will never forget what a fabulous venue it was and how special the whole team at Sault made our day.

Additions, Extensions & Details
Wedding Package Specifics
- All the packages listed below are for a 5 hour duration. Upgrades and add-ons to the package are listed. We are
happy to tailor a package to suit if we are able. Additional costs will apply. - We can seat up to 90 people within the restaurant. We provide for harvest style seating (rectangles). All prices are
valid until June 30 2024 after which a 5% (approximate) price increase will apply. All package prices include gst. - Menu tastings are $130.00pp and are held between July and November of each year on Friday evenings, Saturday
lunch and Sunday evenings (or at other times by arrangement). Bookings are required a minimum of two weeks
in advance (with menu selection), and subject to available times only. - For ceremonies in the wedding barn/chapel the cost is $1,500.00 and includes, 90 wooden folding chairs, registry
table, power, sound system for iPod (or similar) and our event planner to assist you for the ceremony. - The ceremony on site area is alongside the lavender field north of the restaurant with the lake in the background.
- The cost is $1,000.00 and includes 80 outdoor chairs, registry table with linen, power under the trees for your band
or celebrant and our event planner to assist you for the ceremony. - Ceremonies on-site must commence within 1hr of the package start time. Packages are for 5hr duration and must
conclude no later then 11pm.
